Guppy – Poecilia Reticulata

The guppy is a species of tropical freshwater fish which is native to the region of South America. Almost three hundred different kinds of guppies can be found throughout rivers in Brazil, the Amazon, Barbados, Guyana, Venezuela, and Trinidad and Tobago. The guppy fish is among the most broadly distributed tropical fish in the world and is a highly popular fish species for freshwater aquaria, because they adapt quickly and can thrive in a variety of ecological and environmental conditions.
